Ubuntu Village Bumbogo is a master-planned residential housing estate located in the Bumbogo sector of Gasabo District, Kigali. Developed in partnership with the Government of Rwanda and the World Bank via BRD, the scheme delivers approximately 400 affordable housing units.
The development
The master plan features a mixture of housing typologies including duplexes, standalone townhouses, bungalows, and low-rise apartment blocks constructed using alternative building technology. Accommodation includes three- to five-bedroom configurations, featuring open-plan living areas, ensuite master bedrooms, and dedicated surface parking.
The site is located in Karama village, Bumbogo sector, approximately one kilometer from African Leadership University. It sits a 10-minute walk from the nearby industrial zone and a 30-minute drive from central Kigali.
Planned on-site facilities include commercial space and recreational grounds serving residents across the phased estate.
